I think it would be incredible to believe in the law of attraction or anything similar, but isn't it kind of flawed? If the law of attraction was as easy as it sounds, wouldn't we all have attracted a lottery win?

Most people consider that the only power they have, to obtain what they want or need, is either blind luck or continuous prayer. The Law of Attraction is a form of communication between you and the universe and an understanding that there is something 'out there' with more intelligence, resources and knowledge than we possess…and that intelligence is willing to help us obtain what we ask for. What most people fail to recognize is that we also need to do the work. Speaking for only myself, I generally make the request to my guides but that is only the start and where most people lose faith, because of the lack of return. It is imperative that you actually visualize what you want or need, imagine yourself with it already in your life and emit the emotional energy that you would actually feel. It is also highly suggested that you realize making the simple request and visualizing the positive outcome is not a one-time thing. Basic to many forms of magic and their varied disciplines is the notion of: "As above, so below." What this means is that for anything to transpire in the physical world, it must first take form and shape in the realm of spirit. Depending on your urgency, you need to regularly take a moment (a few times a day is a minmum) and actually visualize….and you need to continue to feed it emotional energy. Many people consider that task complete once they asked their god and assume his hand will reach down and magically knit the solution for them. I'm not disparaging religion or faith in the Divine. Another aspect that keeps people from getting results is the time factor. Many times, I have asked for small things (a few extra dollars for lunch when it was close to payday as an example) and have included a time limit. That isn't always feasible for the universe to take care of in a very short space of time. Consider the number of variables involved in a person actually winning a lottery or suddenly obtaining a large sum of money. There is a LOT going on behind the scenes as the universe does its best to supply us from its unlimited wealth. In answer to your question, though, it is a very effective method of obtaining what we need and is quite easy to do with minimal skills but there is some work involved and most don't understand that aspect. I have found this extremely beneficial for short-term (up to 6 months or so) manifestations but shy from anything long-term. Because of how much change we undergo, even in the space of a short year, what seemed imperative to own or have during one month may be viewed quite differently a year later. And our needs change as well. It comes down to the old saying, "You don't get nothing for nothing." If one is not willing to make an effort and tend to their request like a gardener and his favorite plants, one will have great difficulty with manifesting the life of their dreams. An associated approach that has been immensely beneficial for me is in the use of sacred signs to determine a course of action that is in my greatest and highest good. It is also a form of communication, requesting a specific sign from your guides, in a specific period of time. I never use the Law of Attraction until I have ensured that what I want is beneficial to me and my ability to help others and fulfill my purpose. It is easy to do, but one has to be willing to do the work.

The process of defining meaning through careful inner analysis and contemplation is all about bringing the inner experience into outer form: truthfully, effeciently and also with detachment and a willingness to let go of beliefs and assumptions.

Meaning keeps us moving forward, evolving and developing our greatest potential.

Development must include the objective component of defining meaning, or it will stagnate. We cannot feel our way to Self Realization, although emotional awareness is equally essential in the process. But that's for another question.

Enfeelingment (Subject Being) without Engnowingment (Objectively competent in defining meaning and also in defining Subjective Being into language that can be shared with others) is impotent to bring transformation into the collective mind. We cannot develop our true potential as humans without the ability to define it. Being is still Being, even when it is actualized in Doing. Conscious doing is Being Doing….and that kind of doing develops everyone, not just our own personal self.

I am not interested in death and don't care what happens 'after' something that does not truly exist. There is only Life and bringing Life to the world is my only interest. Thank you for the quotes cheeky I really vibe with the first one. WOW!!!

But there is more too it than the movie "The Secret" leads people to believe. I found that the movie oversimplified the concept. As I didn't read the book, I can't comment on how accurate it is or not.

Anyway this is what I have discovered to be true for me….

Focus your thoughts very clearly on what you WANT not what you DON'T want. This is really important as usually the "don't" part is the underlying message you are giving the universe. For example some people looking for their soulmate are actually giving out the message I don't want to be alone - and therefore have can't seem to find someone and are alone because 'being alone' is the focus of the message.
So keep your focused thought simple and positive.

Next you need to do some meditating and looking within to be sure that what you say you want is what you really want. Meaning, do you believe that you deserve what you want? Do you believe you are allowed to have what you want?
That may seem silly but a lot of people deep down in their hearts don't believe they are entitled to the same things that others experience.

The last part is what "The Secret" leaves out completely in the movie…. And that is you need to consciously work towards your goal and look for opportunities that will help fulfil it.

Simply "wishing" for it (as many would have you believe) isn't enough. But being always aware and focused on your goals, AND work towards them is what will get you there.

lol! Sit in the back of the room. Nod once in a while when the speakers make eye contact. Take a large binder, and act like you are taking notes. Bring a magazine you haven't read, and insert the magazine in the binder. Cover magazine with the useless literature they handout when they start moving in your direction.

Take "potty" breaks often, let the speaker know ahead of time in private you have a urinary track infection, and you want to be in the back of the room so you won't disturb everyone when you go to the restroom.

If the meeting is at a hotel, visit the bar during your "potty" breaks. Time your "potty" breaks so you can avoid role playing, and other crap you hate.

In other words when bad things happen and trying to blame because you weren’t positive enough, or faith is wrong, because blaming such things makes it even worse. Instead change your perspective and say this happened because it was meant to be and there is a good to come out of it which will help me later because it will when you have faith and believe. Because if you look at the event and say i was meant to be this way, you will be that way.

Law of attraction or i prefer to say resonance MAINLY happens because of your BELIEF SYSTEM which should have explained more in the secret. That’s why people who choose to believe that the secret is bullshit, will continue to be bullshit to them but the law of attraction is still working. If you unconsiously have a belief system that believes, you never know what will happen today, believing something bad will happen or something good will happen, and you just go on the day just doing the same old routine of going on an dead job, believing(unconsiously that is, not purposely, remember our belief system is something we don’t concsiouly think about too much) then there will always be that chance of something bad happening or something good happening, and you will always be on that dead end job if you think that. If you believe that the belief system has nothing to do with the law of attraction and that things just happen, the universe will correspond with that belief for you, you will just resonated(which means vibrating) at random events and people. If you TRULY believe that the world has so many great things to offer to you, then you will attract MORE of the good things and events, maybe you will attract few bad events but not that bad, you will just be blessed with more positive events, you get what I am saying? IT’s all your BELIEF SYSTEM.

Law of attraction, (I prefer to call it Law of Resonance is more sense than law of attraction, because it’s more what you are resonating and vibrating with) is always working wether you use it or not just like law of gravity. We use the law of gravity to do fun things like to bungee jump, to dive, parachute, like that we can also use to Law of Attraction to do fun and fullfilling things as well.All of that talk of gratitude, visualizing, asking, believing, and recieving are ways of USING the law of attraction. Get that in your head it is positive ways of USING the law of attraction, it is not the law of attraction, it is a method which people to prefer to call from the movie, the secret, which works trust me. Also if you are visualizing how great it would be to have more money but are desperate for money and you are willing to do anything to win money, the desperate negative feeling will just hurt you and will end up joining internet scams most likely lol getting more screwed over. Like i said follow your intuition and heart, or take inspiring action and believe that what you do is right and let the law of attraction guide you positively.

Remember positive always overcome negative and you can use the law of attraction to work with you. Look at hitler(srry if this seems inappropriate) hitler may have visualized and affirmed himself for a world with only white people(some concepts from the secret), but he was trying to control the world for wrong negative reasons. That’s two things things working against him, having hate, and wanting to control everything around him.
That's why he failed, and that's why there on going war today, hate. And it wasn't the jews faults of being in concentration camps, they didn't want to be there, they just resonated with that event that is all. It's like the saying being in the "wrong place in the wrong time" and they didn't do anything wrong, they were good people and they certianly didn't deserve it.
Anything is possible, you just have to have the DESIRE and good reasons to do it that matches with your inner soul, to make it possible, and believe it's possible. Because with less desire or if you really don't want to do because it's too hard or too unrealistic it won't manifest. Lets look at this, when the wright brothers thought of a flying machine it was pretty unrealisitc, but fortunately thier desire, thier faith, thier energy and vision made it possible. If you have an idea but don't have the energy or desire or faith to make it manifest it won't happen. Lets talk things that "seems" impossible, if you think it would be cool to be president, but don't have the inner desire, but you know you can just because you think the law of attraction will help(those who believe in it), it's less likely to happen because you don't have the desire to do that, and the reason has to be resconate with you inner your heart and joy, not just because it would be awesome to do that, and to show of
